Service Description

Our NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Brain Training sessions take place in a comfortable office setting. You can choose to relax in a cozy chair or a fluffy bean bag. During the session, electrodes will be placed on your head to measure brain activity, with baseline sensors and a grounding sensor on your ears. You'll wear headphones or earphones while you unwind for 33 minutes, listening to soothing music as the NeurOptimal system works its magic. NeurOptimal® measures the brain's electrical activity 256 times per second, monitoring four criteria: Duration, Intensity, Frequency, and Shift. When a change in brain activity is detected, the software alerts the brain by pausing the music the trainee is listening to. This auditory cue is crucial for safety, awareness, and detecting danger, bringing the brain back to the present moment and allowing it to reassess its actions. In modern society, prolonged stress, trauma, and other challenges often sensitize the brain, leading to an overactive sympathetic nervous system (fight/flight/freeze response). NeurOptimal® helps retrain the brain's maladaptive patterns by alerting it when it enters these states, promoting flexibility, resilience, presence, safety, and joy. With a reduced need to be on alert, the brain can better focus, improve awareness, concentrate, sleep, heal, and engage in caregiving.

Cancellation Policy

Brain Train Durango NeurOptimalⓇ Brain Training Sessions Cancellation Policy At Brain Train Durango, we strive to provide the highest quality of service and commitment to our clients. Our policies are designed to ensure fairness and clarity for both our clients and our business operations. Below is our detailed cancellation policy for NeurOptimal Brain Training Sessions: Non-Refundable Policy Payment and Booking Confirmation All payments for NeurOptimal Brain Training Sessions are required to be made in full at the time of booking. Once the payment is processed, the booking is confirmed, and a confirmation email will be sent to the client. Non-Refundable Clause Please note that all payments for NeurOptimal Brain Training Sessions are non-refundable. This includes cancellations made by the client for any reason. Rescheduling Policy Clients are allowed to reschedule their session without penalty if notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled session time. Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the appointment will incur a rescheduling fee of $50. To reschedule a session, please contact our office directly via phone or email. No-Show Policy Clients who do not show up for their scheduled session without prior notice will forfeit the session and will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. Late Arrivals Clients arriving no more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled session, will have their session time reduced accordingly to accommodate the next scheduled client. The full session fee will still apply. Emergency Cancellations In the case of a verifiable medical emergency or other extraordinary circumstances, exceptions to this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Documentation may be required. Provider Cancellations If Brain Train Durango needs to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, clients will be offered the choice to reschedule the session at no additional cost.
